Allyson Felix

Allyson Michael Felix was an Los Angeles native born on November 18th, 1985. The father of the child, Paul Felix is an ordained Minister at Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. As for her mother, Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix's ability to compete in athletics was evident right from the day she began attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. She came second at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships after only 10 weeks, after the first time she tried out. Felix graduated from her high school year in 2003 and was signed by Adidas a contract as an athlete in professional competition. In the following year, she attended University of Southern California studying elementary education. Felix received her first Olympic medal at the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record running 200 meters for 22.18. She was the youngest world athlete to win the 200 meters at the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007 beating long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix competed in her first Olympics in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro as well as Tokyo always finishing in the top three of her competitions.
